Good game! It looked like Ovy scored the 4th goal though. Looked like it went to the back and then Knuble tipped it in.
Third straight MVP for Ovy - me thinks! |

Yeah it looked, but I think OV hit the post. Then Knuble shoveled the puck under Fleury's pads.
Well, if not a hart trophy winner, definitely big potential for winning the Lester B. Pearson award. |

The Hart is his to lose.
Since becoming Captain they are what? 17-1?
Plus, he leads the league in goals, pts and plus/minus. |

I don't know about the Hart this year. The award goes to the most valuable player to his team. Marian Gaborik has like 23% of his teams goals and 17% of their points. Ovie has only 18% of Washington's Goals and 14% of the teams points. If you look at total goals Gaborik nearly 3x the closet ranger, Ovie doesn't even have 2x. Gaborik also leads in assists. Ovie is behind backstrom. Gaborik is the only ranger with a positive double digit +/- of 11. Three capitals are over +30. Unfortunately the award does not go to the most skilled player in the league, hands down would be Ovechkin. It goes to the most valuable to the team. As much as it hurts as a Devil/Ovechkin fan..Gaborik would have my vote for the hart.
PS. Watched the game...phenomenal Hat Trick..HE BROKE THE CAMERA! never seen that happen ever.. |

I beg to differ. Ovechkin's team is by far and away doing the best now and that is because of him. He is the most valuable player to his team.
The Rangers arent even in the playoffs as it stands now whereas Washington is 14 points ahead of the next closest team in the East and 29 pts ahead of NYR.
So Ovechkin is more valuable. Without him the Caps would be probably in the same league as the Rangers.
Ovechkin gets my vote for Hart trophy again. |

I hope they let the fans choose the award recipients like they let you choose the all star players. _________________ "Anger is a Gift" - "Razor" Ray Emery |

| Seeing that hat trick was better then watching the superbowl later on that night. The look on Crosby's face when Knuble scored the OT winner was just priceless. |
